This service is provided free of charge to all NSW Public Schools without any warranty or guarantee of service.

We take no responsibility for any loss or misfortune as a result of using our service.

Use of this service for spamming or illegal activities is strictly forbidden and any such use will result in your URLs and account being disabled and we may refer the matter to NSW Police.

nswedu.link is provided for educational purposes only. By using this service, you agree to only create short links that direct to appropriate, education-related content. You must not use the service to share harmful, offensive, or illegal content. Links that violate these terms may be removed without notice, and accounts may be suspended.

All short links are subject to content policies. The service reserves the right to block domains and keywords that are deemed inappropriate for an educational environment.

Privacy Policy

nswedu.link collects and stores only the information necessary to provide the service. This includes:

• Your @det.nsw.edu.au email address, used for account identification and login.
• Short links and their destination URLs that you create.
• Basic analytics for each link visit: country, device type, and whether the visit was direct or via QR code. No personally identifiable visitor information is stored.
• Session information including IP address and browser user agent, retained for security purposes.
• An audit log of actions performed on your account for security and accountability.

We do not sell, share, or disclose your information to third parties, except where required by Australian law.

Your data is stored securely on Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to infrastructure-level data handling — see cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us via the support page. Note that audit log entries may be retained for a period after account deletion for security purposes.

nswedu.link is not affiliated with the NSW Department of Education and this privacy policy is independent of any NSW DoE privacy obligations.

Community Guidelines

nswedu.link is a professional platform for NSW Public School educators. We expect all users to behave in a manner consistent with the NSW Department of Education's Code of Conduct and the professional standards expected of teachers.

The following are strictly prohibited:

• Creating short links to harmful, offensive, discriminatory or illegal content.
• Using the platform to harass, bully or intimidate students, parents or colleagues.
• Sharing links that infringe copyright or intellectual property rights.
• Attempting to circumvent the platform's security or access controls.
• Creating links for commercial purposes unrelated to education.
• Impersonating another person, school or organisation.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension and may be referred to school leadership or NSW Police where appropriate.
